Your Student List
Every student who books with you is automatically added to your student list. Access it from Dashboard > Students.
For each student, you can see:
- Contact information
- Total lessons completed
- Last lesson date
- Payment history
- Your private notes
Student Profiles
Click on a student's name to see their full profile. This is your central hub for managing the relationship.
Overview Tab
See key stats at a glance:
- Lessons booked and completed
- Average lesson frequency
- Current session package (if any)
- Upcoming bookings
Notes Tab
Keep private notes about each student. These are only visible to you — students can't see them.
Use notes for:
- Learning goals and objectives
- Strengths and areas to improve
- Preferred topics and interests
- Lesson-specific observations
- Follow-up items for next session
Tip: Jot down a quick note after each lesson while it's still fresh. Future-you will thank present-you.
Progress Tracking
Track how your students are progressing over time. After each lesson, you can:
- Mark the lesson as complete
- Rate their performance on key areas (optional)
- Add a lesson recap
Lesson Recaps
Write a short summary of what you covered. This helps you:
- Remember where you left off
- Plan the next lesson efficiently
- Show students their progress over time
Students can view their lesson recaps, which makes them feel valued and gives them something to review between sessions.
Assigning Homework
Set homework for students to complete between lessons:
- Open the student's profile
- Go to the Homework tab
- Click Assign Homework
- Add a title, description, and due date
- Optionally attach materials or links
Students receive an email notification when homework is assigned. They can mark it as complete in their dashboard.
Homework Ideas
- Watch a video and summarise it in the target language
- Write a short paragraph on a given topic
- Complete grammar exercises you've shared
- Listen to a podcast and note new vocabulary
- Read an article and prepare discussion questions
Communicating with Students
Use the messaging feature to stay in touch between lessons. You can:
- Send reminders or encouragement
- Share resources and links
- Answer quick questions
- Coordinate scheduling changes
Find the message button on each student's profile.
Filtering and Searching
As your student list grows, use filters to stay organised:
- Active students — Currently booking lessons
- Inactive students — Haven't booked recently
- By language — Filter by teaching language
- By package — Students with active session packages
Adding Students Manually
Sometimes you'll want to add a student who hasn't booked through the platform:
- Go to Dashboard > Students
- Click Add Student
- Enter their name and email
- Save
You can then create bookings for them manually and track everything in one place.
