How to use it
Aconsejar means 'to advise' and is a subjunctive-trigger verb at B1. The pattern is aconsejar a alguien que + present subjunctive (for current/future advice) or imperfect subjunctive (for hypothetical advice). It can also take an infinitive when the subject of both clauses is the same: te aconsejo descansar.
Common mistake
Aconsejar always needs an indirect object pronoun (me, te, le, nos) to identify who is being advised. Omitting it ('aconsejo que llegues') sounds incomplete — say 'te aconsejo que llegues'.
