How to use it
Acreditar means 'to certify', 'to accredit', or 'to provide documentary evidence that'. At B2 it appears in formal and professional contexts: el informe acredita que… / su trayectoria acredita su idoneidad. It takes que + indicative when introducing a fact. Note the distinction from certificar (officially issue a document) — acreditar is broader and means 'provide evidence or authorisation for'.
Common mistake
Acreditar que always takes indicative — the clause presents a fact as established. Don't confuse with creditear or *acreditar a alguien de algo (ungrammatical). The noun acreditación (accreditation) is equally common at B2.
