Húmedo/a means 'humid, damp' — containing a relatively high level of moisture. Two registers: literal (clima húmedo, ropa húmeda, superficie húmeda) and scientific (ambiente húmedo). Ser/estar: ser for characteristic climate ('es un clima húmedo'); estar for a temporary condition ('la ropa está húmeda'). Antonym: seco/a.
Common mistake
Húmedo ≠ mojado: mojado means wet (soaked with liquid); húmedo means damp/moist (containing moisture, not soaked). Ropa mojada is drenched; ropa húmeda is slightly damp.
