How to use it
Neutral means 'neutral' — not supporting or assisting either side; impartial. Common collocations: postura neutral, país neutral, zona neutral, terreno neutral, color neutral. Ser/estar: ser for institutional neutrality; estar for a temporary stance ('se mantuvo neutral durante el debate'). Synonym: imparcial (more focused on impartiality).
Common mistake
Neutral ≠ indiferente: indiferente means not caring; neutral means not taking sides while potentially caring very much about the outcome. A mediador must be neutral; an indiferente person simply doesn't care.
