How to use it

Pronunciación (feminine) means 'pronunciation' — the way sounds are produced in spoken language. In language learning it covers accent, phoneme production, stress patterns, and intonation. At B1, it is important because learners begin addressing accent and phonetic habits more explicitly. Common collocations: mejorar la pronunciación, trabajar la pronunciación, tener buena pronunciación, problemas de pronunciación. Note: pronunciación (the process/skill) differs from acento (regional accent or the mark indicating stress). Both are used at B1 but they are not synonymous.

Common mistake

Pronunciación and acento are related but different: pronunciación refers to how you produce individual sounds and words; acento can mean a regional accent (acento andaluz, acento mexicano) or the written stress mark (el acento ortográfico). Don't say 'tengo un mal pronunciación' — it's feminine: 'tengo una pronunciación mejorable' (I have room-for-improvement pronunciation).
