How to use it
navegar means 'to navigate' or 'to browse' (online). It covers sailing/piloting as well as internet browsing. Use por for online contexts: navegar por internet. For physical navigation, navegar + direction or place is common.
Common mistake
English 'navigate' can be transitive (navigate the waters); Spanish navegar is typically intransitive — use navegar por las aguas rather than *navegar las aguas.
