How to use it
Producir means 'to produce' or 'to cause'. Irregular: yo produzco. Two senses: (1) manufacture/create (producir bienes — produce goods); (2) cause/bring about (producir efectos — produce/cause effects). The causative sense is key at B2 in formal discourse.
Common mistake
Producir yo-form is produzco (not *produco) — same pattern as conducir and traducir. The causative sense (producir efectos/cambios) is often more useful at B2 than the manufacturing sense.
