How to use it

Tengo X años means 'I am X years old' (lit. 'I have X years'). Spanish uses TENER (have), not ser/estar (be).

Common mistake

NEVER say 'soy veinte años' or 'estoy veinte años'. Always 'TENGO veinte años'. Spanish ages use the verb tener exclusively.
