How to use it
Tres means 'three'. Like all cardinal numbers from two upward (except cientos and mil), it is invariable for gender and number.
Common mistake
Numbers don't pluralise themselves, but the noun they count does. 'Tres libro' is wrong — say 'tres libros'.
