adjectiveCEFR B2
What does “agradecido” mean in English?
grateful — feeling or showing gratitude for something received
grateful — feeling or showing gratitude for something received (estar agradecido, persona agradecida)
Example sentences

How to use it
Agradecido/a means 'grateful' — feeling or showing appreciation for kindness received. Common constructions: estar agradecido por / a alguien por algo. Ser/estar: estar for the emotional state ('estoy muy agradecido'); ser is possible but sounds more permanent ('es una persona agradecida = naturally grateful by character').
Common mistake
Agradecido always takes estar in emotional contexts (not ser), unless you are describing a character trait: 'Es una persona muy agradecida' (by nature). Confusing ser/estar here is a classic B2 mistake.
