How to use it

'Prominente' means prominent, standing out either physically or figuratively. Used with ser for inherent quality. Unlike English 'prominent', it rarely collocates with body parts in Spanish; figurative use (prominent figure) is more common at B2.

Common mistake

Don't confuse with 'eminente' (eminent/distinguished in rank); 'prominente' emphasises visibility and standing out.
